INTRODUCTION
The Windows Version of APM is based upon Microsoft FoxPro 2.6 programs. It supports all POS and other counter activities with APM SALES (APMFOX) a networked windows program. Each Sales PC must run Windows 98 (or Windows 95). For single computer operation all data is on that computer.
Profit Pro catalogue program (Vision Estimator) is installed and running on all sales computers. It is used to select a list of part for the customers auto. Ths list is then imported to the Auto Parts Merchant to adjust inventory and price the parts to be invoiced.
For multiple computer operation, the Sales PC is connected an Ethernet (10 or 100) network to the Server PC containing the database files. Invoices are printed to the default Windows printer. Recommended default printer is a Generic/Text only driver printing to a dot matrix Invoice Printer such as the OKI 320.
Management activities such as reporting and end of period processing are supported with the APM MANAGER (APMNGR) program. APM MANAGER (APMNGR) provides automatic and manual scheduling of management reporting. Printing is supported for Oki 320, Panasonic, and HP format laser printers.
Custom programs can be scheduled and linkage is available to output sales data to accounting programs such as Quicken.
