Regular Meeting - 6 Members - Wine Don Williams PAC meeting scheduled for March 8 with main subject to be options to continue with PAC meetings including the 3 clubs in the San Francisco Bay district and coordination of club activities formerly provided by the Governor. |
| 12 | Regular Meeting - 5 Members - Wine Don Williams Discussion of PAC meeting attended by Jim Moll, Don Carothers, and Don Williams. All three clubs have slightly different prospectives on the Governor's role for the future. Don Williams to present options at Board Meeeting. Sunnyvale Sertoma club members must reach a concensus; however, final resolution must be decided at the Tuscon Regional Convention. Letter to plan Heritage program for next year was discussed. After recommendation of the members, Pete is to prepare a draft. |
| 19 | Board Meeting - 8 Members - Wine Bob DeGrasse Sacramento Valley Sertoma favors joining the Los Angeles-Hawaii district. Their Governor, Joe Amato expressed willingness to make at least 2 visits to San Francisco Bay clubs. Stockton favors continuation of some form of administrative (Lt. Governor) role by SF District member with sufficient budget for local PAC meetings and no training or International Convention attendance budget. Sunnyvale club favors a similiar reduce role for continuing a reduce role for the governor and continuing as a the San Francisco District (at large). Since a final decision was not made at the PAC meeting, it must be addressed at the Regional Convention in Tuscon. Pete Goddell reviewed his draft letter to the Sunnyvale and Cupertino School District regarding the Heritage Program for the 2008-2009 year. | 26 | Regular Meeting - 8 Members - Wine None Jerry Nieto recerived letter from Sertoma International announcing the grant award to JWPOSD of over $1700. Bob DeGrasse to respond with a letter confirming availabilty of Sunnyvale Sertoma funds sufficient to meet grant requirements and assurance that an award had not been already made. Volunteer group speaker did not show. Don Carothers still recovering from last operation to resolve infection which had spread to the bone of his large toe. He must stay completely off his foot for some time to come. |
